Data Deletion

1. Delete your account from the app

You can delete your account and all your data directly from the ZemZem app:

1. Open the ZemZem app
2. Go to Settings (gear icon)
3. Scroll down to the Account section
4. Tap "Delete my account"
5. Confirm the deletion by entering your password

Deletion takes effect immediately. A 30-day period is provided to allow for possible account recovery.

2. Request deletion by email

If you cannot access your account, you can request the deletion of your data by email:

3. Deleted data

When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently deleted:

• Profile information (first name, last name, date of birth, biography)
• Uploaded photos and media
• Religious information (level of practice, denomination, prayer frequency)
• Search preferences
• Match history and interactions
• Messages and conversations
• Location data
• Subscription history
• Reports and blocks

4. Temporarily retained data

Some data may be temporarily retained after deletion:

• Security logs: Retained for 90 days for fraud prevention
• Billing data: Retained according to legal accounting obligations (applicable legal duration)
• Anonymized data: Non-identifying aggregated statistics may be retained

5. Partial data deletion

You can also delete certain data without deleting your account:

• Photos: Delete your photos individually from your profile
• Messages: Delete individual messages in your conversations
• Profile information: Edit or clear your profile fields from the settings

6. Data export

Before deleting your account, you can request a complete export of your personal data in JSON format by contacting privacy@zemzem.fr. We will provide the export within 30 days.
